Front Driver Side Metal tube on body

There is a metal tube on the front driver's side body that connects a hose to the washer fluid reservoir.

There is a hole in it. Is there a replacement piece for it?

What year? Photo?

Not certain if this is what you’re describing…

(Note: Any other “metal tube” would be cable guide tubes for trunk and gas door cables, they’re on the inside of trunk along fender that so happen to run the length of the washer fluid lines.)

The washer fill hose is apx. 7/8” . The tank air inlet for the tank is 1/4”.
Each of these hoses attach a small metal stub (or nipple) large is held by clamps, small is pressure fit.
The two “stubs” that protrude from the filler in the fuel door compartment, visible on the underside that connect the hoses, looks like it’s an assembly that is integrated with the fender and not a replaceable part # as far as PET goes.

If these stubs are rusted out, you may need some repair from a donor fender.

If broken off, the stubs can be reattached with a careful application of JB Weld, missing stubs can be swapped using a similarly sized copper/brass tube that will fit in the hose. The washer filler hose is more critical to control leaking fluid on refilling, though the hose is soft enough to force it into the opening and still be watertight. The tank air inlet can be routed and cable tied anywhere in a manner to keep road debris from clogging it.

EC900, thanks for the information. Attached is a photo, you will see the 1/4 has some holes in it.

Not sure about what year car to compare to my 1977 and picture is blurry, but looking at your picture the rust hole on top and “tube” facing the front of the car….
Seem to be a nipple/metal stem connects from the gas tank (welded nipple section goes thru tub and wheel well) with a short piece of hose (maybe 9mm OD) to the gas vapor expansion tank behind the washer fluid reservoir.

It appears you’re missing the 3mm metal nipple also (if that why there’s a rust hole) it would be about an inch away at the top in front the other larger 9mm metal nipple, this smaller has a hose that exits the expansion tank and routes back into the trunk and thru the tunnel to the charcoal canister.
Both of these nipple stems appear to be integrated into the body tub at the factory. You’ll need to fabricate or find door pice to tap weld in.

I’ll try to post a picture if your model year is 1975-77. I don’t know expansion tank set up for earlier years.
