				Reproduction decals

I am restoring an 87 911 and was able to source all of the original decals except the 87 CA emissions sticker on the inside of the bonnet. I had a reproduction emissions decal made by decalrestore.wordpress.com and am very impressed with the results. I found these folks through this forum. I know they have been mentioned before but I thought it was worth doing so again because of the quality of their work. I have attached pictures of the original and reproduction decals, and a pic of the car as I get ready to put the new interior in.

Got my '80 from Sierra Madre. It appears Pelican does not carry them. Not sure about other years.

I'm working on a similar level of repaint as OP. Not really a "restoration", but I'd still like to be as original as practical. Actually, I'm not changing color, so I'll try to be strategic about where I can mask off to avoid painting these areas, but... Decals seem to be getting scarce. Our host has most, and I've found a couple other sources. But there are a few that I'm not able to find: 1. Emissions control diagram under the engine lid (as shown in the OP above) 2. Octane requirement under the gas cap 3. VIN tracking tag under engine lid (where to get it recreated?) Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks! | ||

There are a few options out there. CarBone and Auto Atlanta have the octane sticker. CarBone also makes the options stickers for under the hood to your specifications. Not sure about the emissions sticker. These sources all sell something similar, but not exactly the same. Mark

Thanks. CarBone looks like a good resource. Deeper search of Pelican Forum has other good threads that I missed. | ||
