Heater Hoses, where to buy????
I need to get new heater hoses because mine were getting pretty bad. I only need the 2-1/4" (?) hoses that come off the engine. I thought this would be a pretty common little part at the local auto parts store but they don't have any hoses in that large of diameter. Home Depot has them too but they are too big. The rubberized hoses will not work, I need the aluminum hoses. Don't know where to go.
thanks, zac ![]()

Don't ever use Home Depot hoses - they can melt and put toxic fumes into your passenger compartment. How do I know? I learned this particular lesson the hard way...

That's why I call it the Home Defect. Thier Porsche hoses don't work.

If Wayne doesn't have them try Stoddards, that's where I got mine. Aluminum and paper.

No doubt....use SCAT or SCEET, from Aircraft Spruce and specialty co. Similar threads like this are in the archives.

I have them all in our heating and exhaust section - do a search at the top of this page...

Sorry Wayne...I usually give other sources if I think you don't offer the same.
My apologies.... ---Wil

Home Depot hoses -- were those the vinyl ones (usually white in color)?? If so, youshouldn't use them on your house's dryer outlet either -- lint collects there and can cause a fire. Use aluminum.
