Interesting build, not the best choice but never let an air cooled go to waste?

Hi guys here’s the info, I live in the twin city to south bend Indiana where studebaker was built. In like 1952-53 somewhere in there Ferdinand Porsche was in south bend doing a feasibility for an air cooled studebaker and this a product of it I know the cars were crushed not sure how this car got out. Rumor has it there is an air cooled v8 floating around here. Been kinda looking for years.
