Missing heater connector?
 

My quick clutch replacement has grown quite a bit. I bought the orange scat tubing to replace the old black cardboard stuff. I’ve run into a snag. The scat tubing isn’t long enough to go from the blower, around the alternator fan, under the AC bracket, through the engine tin and onto the elbow at the heat exchanger. Maybe I’ll reuse the old tube for now.

I got out the old tube. I can’t remember what goes through the engine tin that connects to the metal fitting on the old tube. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1725124632.jpg
Any ideas or photos of what I’m missing.

It’s just another short section of hose that clamps on the coupler - notice you still have both clamps around the top hose above coupler, then the add-on section of hose goes thru the metal bracket in the tin and another band clamp onto the heat exchanger.
Probably the original paper hose weak link is it going thru the tin, mine was broken too but used a new paper alum. section.
The scat fits ok on the HE ? Unless it’s just too short as you found, it should route up thru tin hole (if diameter allows) to that coupler.

The small diameter hose was used to fit under AC bracket as original large hose was too tight. The upper small hose clamp was clamped to a bracket bolted to the fan housing to guide and support the small hose. Any hose that will fit on the reducer and heat exchangers is fine. It just needs to be carefully installed under the AC bracket.

Thanks, I was able to get the scat tube in under the AC bracket. I had to remove the AC bracket first. I'll make up a fitting to get it through the engine tin and onto the elbow with another piece of scat tube.
