				1970 911 Transmission / Clutch Fork - Help

My 1970 push clutch have been giving me issues where the clutch mechanism "sticks" and when i immediately release the cable it pops the gear and a quick start. Any suggestion on what can be done?

Most likely one of two things, or a combination of them: 1. Clutch cable is old and worn and binding in the tunnel or casing (between the tunnel and the transmission). Check the casing first and squirt some lube in there. 2. Pedal cluster bushings are worn out and/or corroded and binding. If it's a 1970 and the pedal cluster has never been rebuilt, then that's likely too. If it's neither of those, then you're looking at the clutch release shaft binding, or something wrong in the clutch itself. How many miles on the car, or on the clutch and clutch cable?
