911S 77 Pop-out window not closing

Hello,
Looking for some advice/tips on a back quarter pop-out window. I have a 1977 911S, and the rear pop-out window doesn't seem to close properly leaving a substantial gap. I took the window out and installed a brand new seal but this didn't help. I cant see any obvious ways of adjusting the hinge as its just bolted straight into the pillar.
Would be great of someone could share some wisdom. I searched the forum but could only find new installations and not this issue.
Any help would be appreciated.

You can buy spacers that fit under the latch on the C pillar.

I checked and it looks like those spacers are missing on my car. I can try them out and see if that helps. Thanks for the suggestion!
