Oil level gauge pegged!
My oil level gauge once thermostat is open the gauge bounces and goes to max until it cools down. The wiring isn’t damaged and the dipstick is half way. Not sure where to look next. Is it a short in the ground? Anyone else have the same problem

I suspect you have a dead spot on the sender unit in the tank.

In the car, it can be changed. A little tricky to get the float in.

Hi Flat sixx- Here's my story (with video). The use of a Porsche factory-branded sender solved my issue.

I replaced my float sender with a URO part about 3 years ago. Has been working as it should ever since.

Thanks for all the responses. Gonna order a sender unit and check if there’s a flat spot in the old. Has anyone bought the dansk unit it’s 70 cheaper then the OEM
