Vent Control Icon Missing
 

Not sure where to start on this one - on the dash of my ‘87 Carrera Cab the little “fan” icon (right side above the defrost icon) must’ve popped out, and a search around the floor, the console, under the seats turned up nothing. Are these little plastic icons available anywhere or is my only option to find a used control panel somewhere (I know they are spendy) and replace the whole thing? Thanks in advance! -GK

There is a vent control on ebay right now...135$.

I was looking just by coincidence as I just replaced swapped mine from car to car and was looking for a spare.

Maybe you could make an offer, etc...they are out there, hopefully someone here has a spare they might part with for you.

You could go to the scene of a recent fender bending and pick up a couple of broken rear tail light lenses undoubtedly still lying on the road, then shape to size with a dremmel. Many of us also have old p-car lenses lying around that will do the trick. There is also a small square red dash light on Amazon that can easily be shaped.

Thanks to Joe912/62, my vent control panel is whole again! Just another example of what a great resource the very clever and generous members of this forum can be. Thanks Joe, and thanks to Francois as well for sending along the 3D printer files in the event that I lose another one!
