RS door panel recommendations

I have a 1973 911 and I want to install rs style door panels. Looking for recommendations.
Seems like some of them have the short pull and some have the long pull. Some also state that they are only good for 1973, Can anyone clarify?

Anything works with anything but you probably have to improvise a little no matter what route you take.

I believe the common short-handle is RS and the long strap is RSR

Your talking about the strap pulls themselves? they are easily changeable or customizable. they're just a piece of cloth with an eye that gets pinned to the latch mechanism, so just go with the aesthetic you like and change them out later if you need to.

I went with the doorcards from carbone for my '83 with drummer arm rests/pockets. Big item I recommend is adding a rivnut to your door so that the pull handle bolts pass through your door card and are secured to the actual door structure. the entire install felt cheap and flimsy prior to that small modification.

cost about 5$ and theres some DIY rivnut videos on youtube so you can avoid buying the actual setting tool.

Well the red short pulls are the ones that I wanted but in reading they dont seem to fit the 1973 without modifications for some reason. The longer pull that attaches to the rear of the door seems to be the one that fits the 73.
Weird

I ordered from app biz last month. They said Bob had a medical event. I don’t know any more than that.

I have HIGHLY reliable information that Appbiz is down at the moment, but not out.

All the great Appbiz products will be available very soon from another Porsche manufacturer you know and love.

Appbiz has the '73 RS (long pull) and RS America (short pull) panels available for the 1973 and older cars. Here's a (kinda fuzzy) pic of the RS America style. The pull is 90 degrees from what you are used to seeing on the '74 and later type.

Pelican does still have these in stock:

Unfortunately pelican does not have these in stock. So I guess I have to wait to see who is going to make them.

I'm not being too secretive, it's a big and obvious hint. Send me a note and I'll put you on a list to contact - it won't be very long, shooting for weeks, not months to be ready to ship.

Pelican shows that item as in-stock for me on the site, sorry if that was not the case.

You should also look at the door check straps. There is likely a rubber buffer missing, that door is open far too wide.
