Dimensions of the "new" Targa Top Clips.

Are the updated Targa Roof Lock Catch Bracket 964-565-265-01 and the Dansk version 964-565-265-01 M350 longer than the originals on my 77 Targa. I have the clip adjusted all the way in for maximum bite, but one clip pops off at speed, resulting in the dreaded wind tunnel effect. Do the upgraded clip allow more capture of the tab? My originals are 7mm from the center of the screw hole to the end of the lip.
