Best Shop Manual for 1973 911E
Hello,
I've recently acquired a 1973 911E and am wondering what is the preferred shop manual for these cars? I'm looking to do my own suspension work and engine rebuild down the road. I've seen shop manuals and parts catalogue collections list for $750 to $1,000 but that's a bit out of my budget at the moment. Any recommendations for an economical source of good information? ![]() Thanks, Pete |

Sadly, for the pre SC (1978) cars, the only choices are the Factory Manuals (Two volume original and 4 volume supplement), Haynes, and Cymer. This forum and the Early 911S BBS (http://www.early911sregistry.org/forums/forum.php) are great resources for most of your needs.
You can download the parts book (aka the PET) from Porsche here: https://www.porsche.com/usa/accessoriesandservices/classic/genuineparts/originalpartscatalogue/
