1969 2.0S Engine number 6391537 - chassisnr?
I have a 911 engine which should be a 1969 2.0S engine.
the engine number is: 6391537 Is there any sort of registry where one can search for the car it belongs to? thanks! Axel http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1728997350.jpg |

Go over to Early911S, DaveP has an engine list. Not a VIN list though. Someone over there just did match a chassis to the original motor. My guess is mine came out of a totaled 69 as I have a lot of 69 bits and pieces.

Is there any way of verifying various car numbers (engine, chassis, gearbox) as they rolled out the factory? My local porsche dealer says they used to offer the service but don't any more.

Cross reference the OP over on Early911s and draw your own conclusions.
