Solvang Stomp & Gruppe B
Sir MikeZ, Ingo, and myself headed out from Sant Barbara to hook up with Dave from TRE for some back road driving from Santa Maria to Solvang on Sunday. Met some great people, saw some fantastic cars and drove a few choice twisties. Here are a few pics from the day.
First a shot of my 71 in the am on the way to Ingos house Here is one of Sir Mike over Cold Springs Bridge on the way to the Santa Ynez Valley Here the cars at Firestone Winery. It was a fun day and I thank Dave for letting us tag along. We ended in Solvang at a Santa Maria style BBQ that was nice and tasty. Just another day on the west coast Gruppe B style!

Does this explain why I saw a bada$$ black 914 with TRE stickers on it outside my hotel in Santa Barbara? That thing was mean looking.

Wow Dan, that B&W shot of your car is awesome!!! K9, Mike's car is next to mine (silver C2S). The Solvang Stomp was a heck of a good time!!! great roads, great cars, great people, great weather, great food!!! That is a whole lot of great! Can't tell you how much over the 55mph speed limit a slant nose turbo and I were going on an empty stretch of highway, bit it was a three digit number!! here are a few pictures. One with Ingo plotting to make a hole in a barrel of Merlot! max

Race - Yeah that was Dave's 914-6. Next time you are in town drop us line, beverages will be on Ingo!
Max - Thanks for the compliment. Took that picture in Santa Barbara near a golf course lake. With the fog still lifting it made for a nice back drop.

Damn you guys out west sure get to have more fun than us right coasters. Cars look great, imagine the roads are a bit more fun after a few samples of fine wine! BTW Dan, the seat parts you sent me are getting houndstoothed this month! Thanks again!

Chris, I am glad you were able to use them. Look forward to some pictures. Yeah the west coast has its advantages.
K9 - I think Sir Mike has plans to back date the front also just dont know his time frame. The R style rear lights are sweet looking and that cab is BadA@@.
