1979 911 SC Won't start
So I bought the car from my sister in-law, daily driver for her but parked 3-4 years ago in her garage, she got a new one.
Will not start, fuel was bad after time in the garage, drained tank, flushed it and found the fuel pump was bad, sent it to Fuel Injection Corp for rebuild but they sold me a new one instead, (aftermarket, not Bosh), installed the new pump (FIC had tested it for flow and pressure), and it runs as it should, key in on position , life air flow plate and it runs and pumps, I also installed a new fuel filter, so I ran the pump until I had fuel coming out at the CIS distributor line out. I cranked the car over and it tried to start but would not start, subsequent attempt resulted nothing, no firing at all, so I checked for spark and I do have ignition, so I pulled one Injector to make sure they are not plugged and it does spray fuel but not very atomized. Ready to take to a Porsche garage locally but though I would ask here first. Any help is appreciated. Also when I lift the air flow plate it seems like I should be able to notice a different flow of fuel from just barely lifting the plate to lifting it 3/4 of an inch or so, I cannot see any difference if flow and it seems like a lot. Yes, the fuel flow should be obviously different at low lift on the air metering arm, versus higher lifts.
It's Possible you flooded the engine. Pull out spark plugs and inspect them. Then remove the fuel pump fuse or connections, crank the engine for about 10 seconds to clear any fuel, then reinstall spark plugs. Try starting with starting spray first. It should fire. If yes, then reconnect the pump and try again.

Did you check the (cold) system pressure on the engine or only on the pump itself? if the engine indeed wasn't flooded, I think a possibility could be that the fuel pressure regulator could have gone bad (I had that twice) resulting on a low pressure as the fuel is (partly) allowed to flow back to the tank without building up pressure to the correct level.
