Where is Canyon Country CA. ?

I've been pondering this 924S for my son. Does anyone know where these guys are ? If so, and you are close, could you drop in and look at it.

I bought a 74 914 to rebuild for him. But maybe Dad can keep it and make it a dedicated A-X car with a 911 2.7 or 3.0 ( to keep it on topic ).

canyon country is north of LA. Home to 6 Flags Magic Mountain (well, sorta). About a 30 minute drive from downtown LA heading north on the I5. Well, that's if there's no traffic. Could take 1.5 hours on a bad day.

If your still interested, I live a few miles from Canyon Country. The (323) telephone number (unless its a cell) is in the part of Los Angeles called the Westside (nearer the coast by about 40 miles. So its probably a weekday work number. I could stop by and look at it for you. I don't know a thing about 924S though.

I just called the telephone no. and a message says that at the subscribers request, the phone doesn't accept incoming calls. So you'll have to figure out how to get a hold of "Mark" the seller.

Bill Clinton must have written the mileage justification for that ad.

Judgeing from the stone chips on the front air dam and the side rockers I would say the car diffenently has 117,000m.

I used to live in Canyon Country but I had to move because it was to damn hot.

Canyon Country was formally known as Saugus/Newhall. Canyon Country is easy commute from just about anywhere within the SF Valley. Get on the Golden State Frwy and head north. Years ago, many years ago, San Fernando Road was the only way out to the deserts and the Saugus Race Track. Angeles Crest was an option. Before comissioning, used the Golden State Frwy as a go-cart track, and surrounding areas for off-road motorcycling.

Actually 323 is Hollywood/Whilshire district/central LA. The westside is 310 (which also encompasses the South Bay, but that will likely change soon.

I have to agree on the looks. Buts its for my 16 year old son.
I think the 944 has too aggressive of a look for a 16 year old.
The 924S has the 944 drive train in softer shell. If that makes since.

Hugh, if you could run by and give it a once over, that would be great. Maybe take it out for a spin. The main thing would be, is he misrepresenting the car. Compared to his claims in the E-Bay ad.

Basically how tight is it ? Fit and finish. Then, interior wear.
I won't hold you feet to the fire. Just your gut feel of the dealer and the car. I'm trying to think if a car you could compare it to.
Basically, an Audi. Sounds like one when you fire it up. The shifter is kind of Audi-ish. They have thier own feel being a 50/50 car.

BA puts the 924S in the $4500 to $5500 range. Every 944 I've look at between here and Spokane is a POS. Rode real hard
and put away wet.

Thanks for the directional info. I didn't have a clue.

As I stated before, the phone number the seller posted won't accept incoming calls. I sent the seller a message requesting a working phone number. I'll let you know what happens.

I believe that would be what I call a "red flag".

It doesn't give me a warm fuzzy, either.

I emailed them. We'll see what happens.
