Heater Backdate Question?

Hey guys,
I’ve got the left side heater backdate duct on my motor, but not the right hand side one because I need that space for my A/C compressor.
Is the airflow from the left side backdate duct enough to push air through both heater exchanger inlet ports, so I can get enough heat into the cabin?
I presume the blower motors inside the cabin will draw enough warm air into the cabin?
Advice appreciated.

I have the one duct only, without the blower motors, and it works fine. Sadly though, the car resides in SoCal and not much heat is needed...ever.

You can buy a new right side heat duct from Porsche that clears the AC bracket/compressor. It comes in 3 pieces.

my backdated unit gets plenty hot using one side - i rarely open the passenger side. being in motion is the key - i wouldn't want to commute in stop and go traffic, if it was truly cold out. ..... and? defrosting could become an issue, RHS. yes?

Agreed on this point. I have backdated mine and have both ducts on with AC, however I often just use the driver side lever and it is plenty!

Cool. Thanks for confirming guys.

I think I’ll connect up the engine duct to the right hand side heat exchanger so the driver gets all the heat. Oh, this is a RHD vehicle as I’m in Melbourne, Australia 👍🏼

Doesn’t get TOO cold here, and I don’t plan to drive the car much at all in Winter anyway. It’s just a “nice to have” in the event it’s a little chilly when out and about.

Curious, is there a part number for the 3 piece right side duct that clears the A/C?!

I used this one - 911-106-322-01-PH. And I am in Minnesota in the US, so we get a bit chillier than you!

Awesome! Thanks 🙏🏼

Now I just need a 2.5” to 3.0” aluminium transition for the 3.0” heater ducting to my right heat exchanger (993TT heat exchangers).

check my post here, I modified the existing block off plate for about 20$ and it clears the AC bracket:
