Will Bilstein P36-0111 B6 inserts work in a 83 911SC with Boge Front Struts ?

Can't find that number in the Bilstein catalogues I personally have...is the P36-0111 a Porsche damper?
In general Bilstein supplies their B6 shock absorbers for the 911G mostly in both variants: for Bilstein struts and for Boge struts. Both are no interchangeable, as the Bilstein struts need to mount the damper upside down and being fixed with a pin at the top/lower end in the strut.

Figure 3 shows the pin holding the Bilstein shock in the (Bilstein) strut.

Boge shocks and struts are different. Here the damper is simply standing in the strut and is fixed on top of the strut.
I would keep the Boge struts and purchase the Boge versions of the shocks. With the Boge struts today you have many options to choose. You can either use Boge/Sachs shocks whose are series replacements, you can choose Bilstein shocks in several setups. What kind of car is it? If it's a coupe you can choose almost every setup which of course is not recommended as most of the setups are intended for race / trackday use only and not compatible for inspired street driving only. Depends on the purpose of the car. If you got a cabrio or Targa - do not use any other setup stiffer than Bilstein series replacement (which has been the sporty setup you could order by the factory or even the Turbo/930 setup, both are the same at the rear, only in the front the Turbo setup id slightly stiffer (by 10%) than series!).
And stay away from "sporty street" setup from Bilstein!! This is by far the hardest and uncomfortable ride you can choose, it's almost even harder than any other race setup! Consult the Bilstein catalogue, the settings are named in there.

The settings are denoted as rebound/compression multiplied by 10 in Newton, so series replacement of the Bilstein setting is: front 140/100, rear 196/133. Sports road is front 225/112, rear 336/164 ...

If you prefer a more comfortable ride comparable to Boge/Sachs there's another option: Kayaba makes shocks für the 911, but only for Boge struts in the front. Might be comparable to the old good Woodhead dampers which has been also series equipment in the early days in US models:

Also Koni makes dampers for the 911.

Let me add to Thomas complete discussion.

I have the Koni Sport adjustables, and I really like them. The Sports are only a little stiffer than the Classics on their softest setting, which is very nice for the street in my 1973 car. The Sports also have the adjustment knob on the top of the shock (the Classics do not), so you can literally adjust all 4 shocks in a few minutes with the car on the ground. I do this for autocross, then set them back to soft for the street. They are also very reasonably priced, at about $850 for the set of 4 at Pelican.

To do better than the Konis, you have to spend several times more money.
