What is the purpose of this small hole in the fan shroud?

While screwing down the shroud on the engine for my 84 Targa, I noticed a small hole in the shroud near the oil breather. See the picture at the end of this post.

What is the purpose of this hole? There is nothing to screw into below. Is something supposed to press in there?

See the image from the PET below, could it be 9 or 14?



See here where I am pointing at the hole in question. There are no other holes like this in the shroud.

Possibly for Omega clip to secure wire harness routed through that area.
