Deep six Fuchs question
Trying to determine numbers on deep six Fuchs.
Following are specifics: 1/70 with heart 42 10/70 no heart 42 11/70 no heart 43 12/70 no heart 44 While offsets all measure the same the 42,43,44 is confusing to me ……as I thought those referenced offset. Anyone have knowledge as to the variations. TIA |
Bump
Not an easy one.

I have no idea what those #s mean, are the part # all the same or different? |
Info
Part numbers are the same ……the 2 digit numbers are done like the mfg dates.
Thanks for weighing in. |
That last number on other wheels would sometimes indicate special changes (on other wheels, I don't know if that's the case here -just giving you leads.) For example tubeless with the bead vs tube, and center cap style or even the type of valve stem.
I know on later flat fuchs in 15X6 that last number denotes a change in the center cap when they changed from a 3 prong to a circular ring center cap fit. So that center hole is slightly bigger with the different part number. Weidman might have the answer, or somewhere buried on this forum. Search deep 6 threads or for sales ads using google, not the in house search button. Edit: Anecdotal, but one time I was picking up some 15X7 cookies at my local shop. He had a pile I could choose from. Same part number but the casting was different. One had a defined lip, and one smooth. I think I read somewhere those numbers can be variations in the cast. I've seen some very subtle changes in the same part number. Also a 16X6 fuchs had slight changes here in there in the casting. Maybe that's why people get particular about date matched wheels. |
Wheel
Good point……thanks for input.
