993 Alternator to Clamshell Torque Spec

Replaced my alternator and fan due to contact of the fan with the shroud about 6 months ago. New fan was pricey. Drew a permanent marker line on the shroud to keep an eye out for any recurring contact. Sure enough looked at it a couple of days ago and my new ($$$) fan was again touching the shroud as evidence by missing marker.

In this pic I had already redone the marker but you can see the dark line passing through it at the red arrow.

Fearing the worst made a couple of discoveries that may be a lucky fix for me. First I had read somewhere the 5mm shroud strap bolt torque was 18NM. Now reading in several places it is 8NM. Big difference. I believe this will help a bit.
Secondly put a wrench on the top two alternator-to-clamshell nuts. Happy/sad to find them very loose, as in nearly finger tight kind of loose. Cannot imagine I installed the alternator like this but hey stuff happens or they have come loose on their own since then.

Snugged them up and it seems to made in difference to my eye caliper, pulling the fan up away from the bottom of the shroud just a bit.

Checked my Bentley and searched the forum. Every time I search it gives me the alternator pulley nut torque. Cannot find a spec for these nuts. Also thinking of using a bit of lock tight on them. They are through the plastic clamshell with a metal sleeve. Want to tighten them as much as spec will allow. Anyone got this number?

Thanks
