I broke her in easily with the p-car events by taking her to the 993 Rennlister gathering yesterday in Rockville. She didn't whine at all or try to escape. So we must be on the right path.

A previous girlfriend felt very threatened by my Carrera. Subsequent ones have appreciated, if not enjoyed the passion and the hobby.

My wife loves the rawness of the Carrera. She drove it this weekend for the first time since the hotrodding on some Sonoma twisties (with me, after 4 martinis, in the passenger seat). "Feels like a go-kart!" she said with a lot of giggling.

But most chicks I know, my wife included, don't really dig loss of traction in general... you know, oversteer. Occasionally I make the mistake of digging into it a little with her in the car. Whenever that back end breaks loose, she screeches. Not good.

My (current) lady has no issues whatsoever with my cars. So I'll keep her, the 993 and my Carrera until it sells.

I think you guys are getting a little ahead of events on the ground. Just be happy for me that I only have to worry about nagging car issues and not nagging girlfriend issues. Still haven't taken her to the NRA Range yet, but we'll get there. Maybe I'll get her a stuffed Eddie Eagle.
