Distributor DIY Motor w Controller?
 

Hey,

Anyone try using something like this, 0 to 12k rpm controller plus a 2 channel oscilloscope and a mag or optical pickup for the main shaft to check/adjust their distributors? At under $200, just for fun of course:

(i.e. distrib shaft with arm pickup one channel, green wire another channel, overlay the waveforms at low rpm to zero out delays / calibrate?)
