Dansk or Fabspeed premuff?

What I'd like to know is, for any of you guys who got the Dansk Euro SportCAT (without the catalyst in it), does it make the same kind of better-than-a-bypass-pipe improvement that the Fabspeed premuffler does?

I can't believe I'm thinking about exhaust again. But I am.

I have a Fabspeed premuffler that I'm using with a Dansk dualout muffler. When I had installed it with just the stock muffler, it made a very noticeable performance improvement. The car pulled harder to redline, and the engine revved more freely.

But the Fabspeed is crooked. I can't figure out which weld is off, and I don't really frickin want to. The fact is that it's got the Dansk muffler sort of cockeyed, so that the left pipe sits about an inch lower than the right. I thought I could live with this at first, but it's starting to bug me.

Also, I've noticed that the Fabspeed has the 02 sensor bung on only one of the feed pipes, so it's only registering the mixture of half the engine, right? That can't be good.

You need to do a search on this - it was a big issue a few months ago. Fabspeed's jigs were off for a while and there were a bunch of crooked pipes out there. Good luck getting Fabspeed to do anything about it! I'd definitely recommend the Dansk - it will fit perfectly, will perform as good or better, and the sound is sweet!

I am very happy with my Dansk that Wayne sold me. Fit was perfect and the shinny bugger really works.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul!

Send Joe Fab and e-mail and let him know you got one of the bad pre-mufflers. That's what I did. He told me to just ship it back and he had replacements ready to go. He shipped mine back very quickly. He sent me a re-welded pre-muffler. The welds are not as nice as the original that I had but at least it fits. Cheaper than buying a new pre-muffler.

According to other threads it looked as if the Fabspeed jigs were reworked.
Dansk has a great rep....except from what Eric Mckenna mentioned about his mufflers weld job. ????

Dansk PreSilencer - Fit is perfect.

I bought a new 02 sensor from Pelican since I was doing this and it was a simple plug and play install as well.

I also have the Dansk dual out muffler and Dansk Pre-Silencer and love it. I've had the Fabspeed and Dansk both and really prefer the Dansk in fit, finish, and sound.
