Installing Behr underdash AC. Need Knee pads?

Are the underdash knee pads standard or modified that are used for the a Behr underdash AC. I currently have the VPC underdash ac unit and would like to switch to a Behr. The VPC does not use the knee pads. The pet gives me the same part number (for the knee pads) for a car with the ac and without.

I'm also interested in a good used set in black if anybody has.

Thanks
Eric

Garage
Hey Eric,

I have the piece you are looking for as a spare and I am looking for the one you currently have. Could be a match made in heaven. Mine is in great shape, but it is currently on loan to a friend of mine with a 73"S". I will gladly get it back if you want to do a deal.

Also, the one you want mounts under the normal kneepads. There are mounting screws and receiving holes under the dash.

Send me an email to marcw@pipeline.com

Thanks,

Marc

Eric: if things don't work out with Mark, I can sell or trade mine - I'm open to a few things for my car.

I yanked my a/c a while ago, and have no use for my under-dash vents. I have to remove it from the knee pad first, which I plan to do in the next week or so.

Tell me your thoughts.

Thanks.

Dunno which I have. I'll post some photos tomorrow when I get time.

For sure I'll have a shot of the unit up over the 4th of July holiday.
