Has anyone converted G body wipers to 993?
I know Singer does this, but I was hoping to see if anyone has picks or info on how to mount 993 wiper assembly into a G body 911.
I have a customer requesting that I convert his car. The big problem is that I need to keep all his venting intact. Any input or photos would be greatly appreciated? Cheers, Louie |

In general I’m glad I have 964s instead of 993s. But I do love those wipers! I wouldn’t mind not having to adjust valves either.

Have you tried a search on here, I’m pretty sure this has been done before and documented?

Kits are available for this, ST Parts in Germany or Stuttgart Classica both offer them.

I asked the same question, and the conclusion was none (other than that they look cool.)

Seems like a bit of work for low return. But if you're into it go nuts.
Personally I just want to reverse the wipers so my view out is unobscured.

I have no idea what the 993 windshield wiper blades look like.
If I recall correctly, there was a brand of windshield wipers, that had two blades per unit. Seems like somebody could 3-D print an adapter, to install two blades on a single arm…? https://a.co/d/8zZgz1n Last edited by A930Rocket; 01-06-2025 at 07:24 PM.. |

I thought about doing it and then someone pointed out that if they were reversed, the water from the last wipe runs up the windshield instead of being blocked by the blade.

Fair point but 90% of the time I'm driving the car it isn't raining. If it's raining and the wipers are on they'll be clearing the water anyway. Give and take either way
