Rehanging Trunk Lid
Hi,
Has anyone ever tried rehanging a trunk lid? I am going to be detailing the P-car over the weekend and the trunk (since I bought the car) has always been a little bit off. The car has never been in any accidents (as far as my mechanic or myself can tell) but the trunk is much higher in the right back-windshield side, creating a larger gap in the front left-near the headlight. Is this a tough one to tackle or pretty doable? Thanks!

To lower the rear of the lid (closest to the windshield) you can loosen the hinges and rotate them down. There are 3 bolts, two have slotted holes and one doesn't. This will allow the rear of the hood (trunk) to be adjusted in height. To adjust the front, use the latch for height. if one side is higher than the other, open the lid and give the hood a slight twist, just in the front to level it. Be careful not to crimp or bend it. Someone might have put something in the trunk and tried to close it causing a twist in the frame. Good Luck.

If it's not level in the front, you may want to check the little-rubber-baby-buggy-bumpers on the corners. They can be raised or lowered by turning them.....
