How much are ratty Bosch H1s worth?
Hi,
I was reading old threads on replacement headlight parts, and came to realize that I've got Bosch H1s with the 4 adjustment screws, not H4s, in my '75 project car. But...one lens has a small rock hole, the reflectors are just so-so, and the some of the screw heads are stripped a bit. They are serviceable but not great. So...for this car, which is just a driver and not an original or show car, I'm thinking of going to H4s. What would you say the H1s as described are worth? Thanks, Colin

Someone who really wanted H1's (not I, thanks) may be willing to pony up a set of (new or nearly) H4's in trade....?

Sounds like those H1's are pretty rough. If you had the replacement lens to go with them you might get a better price. There might be someone who would like to restore them, but H4's are just as nice from what I've heard. You never know until you list them and see what kind of calls you get.
I paid $350 for a pair of new old stock H1s about 5 years ago.

Thanks. I guess I'll throw them out there and see what happens.
