Enclosed car carrier recomendations..

All,
Thanks for bearing with me in this .....I need a enclosed carrier to transport my 82 911SC from Seattle to Winchester Va. Any recommendations?
Obviously price counts, but not at the cost of service,.

Tim

Try Horseless Carriage or Sunday. I've heard good things about both of them.

Lots of previous posts on this topic if you want to do a search.

I've used http://www.horselesscarriage.com/ - very professional, around $1,200 from Seattle to Texas.

The big four are: Reliable, Horseless Cariage, Intercity and Passport. All are very customer-service oriented and are usually seen at those chi-chi car shows.

DAS shipped my car from Chicago to Phoenix. Know who you're dealing with. Many who claim to be auto shippers are just brokers. They find truckers heading your way and subcontract the job. DAS, like several of the more well known transport companies, owns the trucks and employs the drivers.

http://www.dasautoshippers.com/

You can get an automated online quote from their web site. Put eBay as referral for a discount. They have online tracking so you can actually see the progress of your car. Within minutes of the tracking system saying "arrived" I called the terminal. The guy said, "Well, a truck just pulled in but it's enclosed so I don't know what's on it yet."

Intercity has shipped two cars from me. They are great. The Pebble Beach Concours guys use them. That's a pretty good seal of approval.
