What was original finish on 1986 944 turbo Fuchs?

Refinishing a set
Looking for advice on lip
Anodized or polished
Also , what years 944 do the 951 7's and 8's fit?
Thanks for any replies

The lips were originally anodized. And...I believe only the 1986 turbo Fuchs fit a 911. I think the offset changed in 1987.

Afaik all Fuchs were originally anodized. They got polished when this coating was damaged I guess as this is way more easy when refreshing them. Anodziation is a high effort and expensive. Disadvantage of polished Fuchs rims that they require more often get detailed as anodized.

Here's a list of supposingly all wheels of early days Porsche's:

Fuchs original website, they started production of the new evolution Fuchs rims some years ago, even for G body cars. BUT: Due to TÜV regulations (rim protection, esp in Germany/EU) they require far more wider rubbers in the front which it makes necessary to wide the fenders manually...

Fuchs USA Website, all seems anodized:

951 Fuchs

Just for reference, here are a 16x7 and 16x8 that Harvey Weidman did for me. As stated above, they were anodized with painted black centers originally.
