Lower front valence

Do you need to remove the front bumper to remove the lower front valence?

No.. but you have to turn the wheels in to gain access to the side mounting screws.
Or take the wheels off will be easier.

Yes you do! Two bolts in the center of the lower valance need to be removed.

The two bolts in the center are accessed from the frunk. Don't need to remove bumper to get to them. Unless an 82 is different from an 88.

Unlikely, my 1979 is the same way. Hardest part getting it off is removing the small bolts at the ends.
