Electrical plug in front of battery?
New to me 1987 Carrera. After replacing the battery and making a mount, I found a plug that isn't connected to anything. I had removed my condenser cooling fan to remove the old battery, and found this tucked up in the wiring harness.
A cursory look and some hunting for other engine pictures didn't reveal what should be there. Just untangling the mysteries as I was trying to fix my non-functioning dash blower cool air fan. Thanks! |

Is it possible this connects to the horns? I just pulled off my steering wheel pad and there's no wire at all visible to connect to the contact on the pad. My turn signals don't cancel, so I was looking into that and discovered there's no wire for the horn at all.
Thanks! |

I'm guessing it is for the headlight washer pump on Euro cars, just not used in US models.

Fog lights, headlight washer or windshield washer pump. Most likely candidate is the blower fan for the AC condenser. Based on the photo, it looks like you don’t have a condenser fan.

Read his post. He said he removed the condenser fan to install battery. Condenser fan connector wires is white/green and brown.
This dangling connector is indeed the one for headlight washer. When washer is present, there's a matching black connector with cable that goes thru the big black grommet visible on left and then to the pump and reservoir inside fender.
