Inner wheel guard rust near torison bar cover - what rust products to use?

Hi Team,

Just cleaned a whole lot of gravel and dirt from the wheel arch and have discovered some surface rust starting. Picture isn't too great, was hard to take a decent photo but I think you can get an idea of where I'm talking about.

Any rust converters that people can recommend?

Should I also spray it with a rubber protective coating after? Same kind of stuff you spray under the car?

Would like to not have to replace panels in a few years time....

Any tips would be appreciated.

Proper fix would be knock it down to bare metal and re-spray. If you you were looking to just buy some more time you can clean it and knock off all loose rust and spray with fluid film. It will wash off over time but will help prevent rust

You can also find rust converters in rattle can. Spray multiple layers until rusted parts turn black. Then you can cover with protective coating.

Get some Corroseal .. best rust converter out there. brush it on and turns rust into a black paintable primer . .then cover with paint or undercoating.

proper prep, POR 15 brushed into place, followed by their surface coat.

I think the first step is to use a wire wheel to take that area down to bare metal, then you can be sure you got it all.
