Heater block off

The heater delete plate on the distributor side does not fit well. The mount on the bottom is offset outward from the block by 3/8". The top holes do not line up well with the shroud. Are there other ones of these? My engine is in a 3.0 case. Do I just beat it into place? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1740597857.JPG

You are rebuilding a twin plug race engine and you cant rework a little piece of sheet metal?

If they make different block off plates and another one might fit better why would I rework a piece of sheet metal? Even if there is a plastic or glass one, to me that is better than reworking sheet metal. I remember seeing something about different block offs. But I couldn’t find it. Guess I will just keep looking
