EFI ITB Update and Question

Hi,

I have mostly completed my EFI ITB install. I am using the Triumph ITBs with a Megasquirt ECU that Clay pioneered and I am close to getting it running.

I have loaded up TunerStudio and set the startup parameters as per instructions from Al's files.

Is there anything I can check with TunerStudio without running the car?

I do have a couple of questions and observations:

1. As per the attached picture, I am running the hot wire on the rear fuse panel to the EFI fuse panel. I'm not sure if this is the correct fuse to use, it was empty can anyone comment of if this is the correct fuse?
2. I have spliced the wire # 24 from the ECU to the input spade on the CDI, is this correct? I'm not reading any tach signal on Tuner Studio.

My FPR isn't holding anything above 20 PSI and it appears to be slightly leaking so I plan on replacing it before I try to start the car.

Kevin,

Greetings. Until you get a tach signal reading in Tunerstudio, you will not get your engine started/running.

Use your multimeter to verify your +12V switched at the fuse block connection.

P24 of the M'squirt is basically sensor/tach input.......it's not clear what CDI connection you have made.......but if you are running a fuel only configuration, you want to tap M'squirt P24 into the purple/black tach wire from the CDI.

Hi Al,

Thanks, after looking a bit further, I did mistakenly tap the P24 into the ground of my CDI :(

However, looking at the wires coming out of the CDI, I have 2 white wires and 1 red wire, none appear to be purple/black.

Any thoughts?

Kevin,
you need to get yourself a wiring diagram .......here is a snip of the 3- pin CDI wiring that shows the CDI connection to the purple/black wire that runs to the stock tach....you need to tap into that circuit to provide the proper signal to the M'squirt

PS: PM me with your email address and I'll send you a wiring diagram....
