5.5 KPZ date matched 2/69 Steelies, tire options.

Hello,

I managed to find a set of 5 1/2" x 15" KPZ steelies as a spare set of wheels for The Canary. I was lucky to find a date matched set 2/69 (which matches my 1969 911) that needed some love. They have seen better days but the rust cleaned up nicely with some wire wheel work and a trip to the blast cabinet. I gave them a coat of self etching primer. With some more work filling some pitting I think I can use them. I started to look for tires and there are a serious lack of options out there, so I have some questions.

I'd like to run a 195/60 R15 but sport / summer tire options are extremely limited. Can you recommend something?

Anyone have experience with Michelin Primacy 3 tires?

There are more options with a 205/55 R15. I run that size on my deep 6 fuchs. Can I run that tire size on a 5.5 rim?

These are a spare set of wheels and tires and I don't want to spend $$$ on a classic tire CN36 for example.

Any recommendations / suggestions?

Cheers! - Kav.
