1987 Comfort Seat Recover Question

Hi all,

I got a seat recover kit from Lakewell for my 911 seats and have finished the bottom of one of the seats so far. I'm now on the top and have a question.

The original seats (vinyl with the striped fabric) used staples to affix the fabric to the center foam. There was some adhesive on part of the front as well.

My new covers are leather with houndstooth fabric inserts. The instructions show the use of some cord to hold the foam in place (picture attached).

Does anyone know what that cord should be? I've asked Lakewell but I'm hoping to keep going on the project over the weekend.

I'm also attached a pic of the seat bottom that is almost done. I will likely do a little more pulling and heat gun work to smooth it just a bit more. Overall the quality of the kit is excellent - I'm really happy so far.

Thanks,
Matt
