AC temp switch - help putting it back together
Team,
Deleted my center console this winter while car is down. I had to disassemble the AC fan control switch to feed it through hole in original carpet. The switch broke when putting humpty dumpty back together again. The offending switch is: 911 613 121 00. Does anyone know where to locate version that has thermostat wire / disc located at top of housing? Would love to avoid re-running a new thermostat wire to a new switch. |

To show my ignorance, it’s the capillary tube and bellow that I’d dearly love to avoid trifling with.

That capillary tube is fragile, and is filled with a gas. I would guess that if it came undone, you get to buy a new switch. They are a pain to get through the grommet, and back into the evaporator. You have to be very careful, and use a lube as you go put the grommet back in place.
Personally, I would contact Griffith's for his switch. |
I would also recommend Griffiths... But if you are set on an original... I just replaced mine.. you are welcome to it if you want it.

Many thanks guys and also for the kind offer.
May actually be moot it would seem. I’m running electric A/C and after a bit more noodling, don’t believe it uses capillary tube. Showing my ignorance here but seems it’s better to be lucky than smart. |
