Question for 930 gurus

I'm doing a full 930 conversion on a F-chassis. I know I have to replace the rear shock crossmember and move it about 15mm forward. It also looks like the rear engine mounts need to go rearward about 30mm. Porsche sells a different rear latch panel crossmember (930.501.080.01grv) for the 930. So my question is: how is the 930 latch panel different and how are they able to move the motor mount points and still able to keep packaged at the tail lights?

Unfortunately I have no answer to your question but additionel information: The torsion tube and transmission mounting points are different between 930 (turbo) and all other g-models, also different banana arms:

Yes, I have all that sorted out, but I can't weld in the torsion tube till I get the trans mount sorted out and I can't do that till I get the engine mounts sorted out .

What year F body? Is it a SWB car? Do you have a 930 near you that you can inspect? If not, I can try and take some pictures of mine and post them here tomorrow or this weekend. I honestly don't think the rear latch panel on mine is any different than what is on my 3.2 cars.

EDIT Here's another idea. Contact Patrick Motorsports and see if they can share any insights with you. They apparently stuffed a twin turbo motor into a '73 body. https://patrickmotorsports.com/blogs/news/1973-911-rsr-3-8l-twin-turbo-6-speed

The motor mount points being shifted rearward and the changes to the latch panel allow for better engine clearance and alignment.

I contacted Patrick and they wank like $12k to shorten the transmission (which includes a rebuild).

I did look at a real turbo and the whole rear crossmember/latch panel is different and the motor mounts are 30mm rearward.

The question now is: does anyone know of a shop that can shorten a 930 4-sp transmission besides Patrick Racing?
