Muffler Suggestions 911SC 3.0L

Anyone have an opinion or suggestion on a aftermarket muffler please chime in.

I'm looking to replace my stock muffler with either a Fabs-speed or a Billy Boat.

A little background:
1983 911SC 3.0L, Mild engine upgrade (964 cams, Euro 9.8 compression ratio CIS style piston, Digital CIS Lambda Controller).

I tried Bisimoto's Pulse Chamber and have it for sale. It was too loud for my wife and I have to live with that... I did see a dramatic improvement in the throttle response.

I have a M&K 1 in 1 out. Sounded great. Might be for sale if interested as I've gone SSIs.

I installed SSI headers, DC 964 cams and M&K GT3 muffler. I love the sound, but it isn't what I consider "quiet". I have a small RPM range of drone because it's a 2 in 2 out, but I manage to avoid that RPM range most of the time so it hasn't been an issue. My wife drives with me at the various car events we attend and doesn't complain, although she does recognize our SC is louder than our others.

Another vote for M&K. Multiple options depending on what you’re looking for. Very high quality products.

I've got a 1982 3.0 ROW engine, and have SSIs and the ordinary Daske two in one out muffler, and like it. Not too loud.

Bill, That's exactly what I have for my 83 SC and will be installing one day soon. Any sound clips?

Sorry LOL sound clips are waaaay beyond me. I feel I'm clever if I can upload a file.

But... If I'm driving normally there is very little sound. Very stock sounding. GF says she can hear me when I pull up outside her house but she has got very good hearing.

When I floor it and get the rev's up it does let out quite a roar which suggests it's breathing well. I got a friend to drive it past me while I stood on the side of the road and told him to hit 6,000rpm in second gear, foot flat on the floor. I sure could hear it but not such that people half a mile away could hear. Not like boy racers at 2:00am type sounds.

Speaking subjectively, it kind of sounds happy, healthy, like you would like a 911 to sound like.

The Achtung Kraft 1in-1out is an easy bolt-on. 2in-2out requires headers or SSIs:

this is exactly what i have and sounds natural for the era. nothing more irritating than some obnoxious exhaust that is way louder than it needs to be .. a real eye roller for everyone around.

If you drive a 911 you don't have to have everyone notice you .,, don't be "that guy"

That's the beauty of valved exhaust. You can be somewhat respectable around town, then flip the switch and make glorious GT3 sounds when ripping around in the middle of nowhere.

Similar (though automatic) experience with my m&k active exhaust (replaces cat in one out header setup) -- engine vacuum when "giving it the beans" opens muffler bypass valve to provide nice background noise (and reduced restriction) while ripping through gears, but with muffler bypass closed, I retain stock sound with my Carrera's original stock muffler. https://mkexhaust.com/active-exhaust-for-sc-carrera-2/

If anyone is interested, I been reviewing every system I could find. Video clips on youtube, other forums, etc. I first purchased a Fabspeed and then cancelled. I decided to buy a 1 into 1 Active system. Achtung Kraft was suggested by Shoooo32. I’ll post some pictures.
