New Use for an Old Carrera Fuel Filter

While trying to figure out why I am getting a miss above 5500 PRM on the 85 Targa, I thought that checking out the gas tank fuel screen would be a good idea. However, no 22mm allen wrench.

Luckily, the old gas filter from the engine compartment has 2 nice 22mm hex heads on each end. Simply remove the brass fittings on each end of the filter and you have a new tool. Insert the ‘new tool’ into the 22mm screen head on the bottom of the tank, and a 22mm wrench on the other end. The screen assembly loosens with ease.
