Circa 1975 Porsche Window Sticker

Hi Gang,

A few years back a fellow Pelican had expertly reproduced the 1975 Porsche Monroney (window) Sticker. I had emailed him and asked him if he wouldn't mind sending me his template but I got no response. I suspect he didn't want to get mixed up with the lawyers over at Porsche.

I've been working on a project for the past 2 years in which I am completely restoring all the original documentation, pamphlets and literature you would have gotten when you bought a new car back in 1975. I have everything from original tire literature, to the original radio brochure, to dealer information, warranty, emissions owners manual, sales brochures, salesman's business card, original key fob, and I even reproduced the original warranty card the owner would get.

When I get everything all together I will post my completed project.

Here is my request does anybody have an original circa 1975 Porsche window sticker that they wouldn't mind hi resolution scanning for me so that I can reproduce it with the specifics of my car. Also if you wouldn't mind giving me accurate measurements of the document so I can use the same size paper. I have found several examples on the Internet however they were not very well scanned and I would like to work from a clean copy.

Of course the other item that I would need to complete this project would actually be to somehow create a bill of sale from 1975 which I think will be very difficult to do because I have never seen that particular document in my searches.

Thanks in advance if anybody who can help me with my project and I look forward to posting my "glove box" restoration

Here are a couple from 1974 and 1975

This is what I'm looking for only much higher resolution. I want to clearly read the watermark where the signature is and even get a clean "cut and paste" of that signature. I bet someone has one of these in a glove box or framed?

Heck I've got Monroney (Window)Stickers for
1980 911 SC
1984 944 N/A
1992 911 (964)
2005 Cayenne
2006 Cayenne

Wow that is pretty cool, hard to believe Porsche is ok with that !

Make up your favorite dealer window sheet ! Brumos, Vasek Polak, Holbart, etc...!

Finally, the '75 gets some dignity. Great project and I wish I had something to contribute, but my '75 came with nothing. Thanks for the great job though and I will be checking back.

Wow they do great work it looks like the real deal.

You still need to provide them some information like engine number and the port of entry of the vehicle, in addition to the dealer information excetera excetera.

I'm surprised these guys don't advertise here on Pelican. Wayne should have somebody in the advertising department give them a call.

I'm going to see what I can do at home using Adobe. If I end up not being able to produce a satisfactory and product I'll end up using their services.

Thanks for the lead

How can you find out the original dealer info? I have a factory COA but no mention of the dealer the car was sold at. The owners manual also has no reference...mine is a 1970 model.

I am lucky. I know a little bit more about the history of my 911 the most people probably do. I can take it back to the second owner (I am the third) when the car was only 7 years old.

I know what city is the car was purchased from based on the History I got from the second owner.

so from map I did research and found out what Porsche dealerships were open at the time the car was new and simply chose the closest dealer to the home of the second owner.

You would think the dealer would keep these types of records of where the car was originally sold.

everybody stand by I'm going to be publishing my " glovebox restoration"soon.

Try CarBone in Poland. They reproduce stickers, etc.
