Need recommendations on shipping a car

I may need to ship a 1994 3.6 Turbo across the country. I would prefer an enclosed carrier. Who do you recommend and how much?

Thanks
Kirk

Check with a local Porsche dealer and find out who they use for shipping their cars. I did this a year ago and it worked very well for me. Good luck.

I just had a Boxster shipped from SC to SOCAL by FedEx Passport. It wasn't cheap ($1800), but it was enclosed and the driver met me at the golf course where I was chasing my golf ball past the OB markers 9 days after the car was picked up. They are extremely flexible and reliable. You are going to pay a fuel surcharge right now also, so be prepared. Intercity Lines is also good, but they are busy and may not be able to get to you for several weeks. My advice is to pay the money for the peace of mind. Four years ago, I had my C2 Turbo shipped by boxcar for about $700 coast to coast, but had a $600 bumber repair bill a couple of weeks later and the car took a month to get to me. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

On a side note, my Boxster was with a ORIGINAL Shelby Cobra that had just sold for $800K. That's good company! Good luck.
