Park brake Dilemma, what am I doing wrong?
Trying to assemble the park brakes on a '74/'75 Turbo. I'm using new OEM brake cable and guide tube. The problem I'm encountering is when installed the cable end is being directed into the hub housing making it impossible to install the expanding bow and associated hardware.

The pin goes through after the whole brake assembly is in place. Slide it through both expanders with the spring between them, then washer, nut, cotter pin.

I understand that part. What I was trying to demonstrate in the pictures is that the cable end is too close to the casting to accommodate the springs and expander and such.

The tube is stepped. Could it be in backwards? It should go through the outer hole to contact the inner expander.

The guide tube is with the smaller end in the trailing arm You can see it in the first picture up against the backing plate.

Turbo arms are turbo only.

I was led to believe these were turbo (930) arms but I wouldn't bet the farm in that being correct. Are there differences in the park brake elements between turbo and non turbo arms?

Later 930s used a totally different ebrake actuator assembly. Different cable too with a loop on the end. My 77 930, I'm pretty sure used the old style system like yours. Been a while since I looked in there. Gotta check the parts diagram in the morning.

I may have discovered the problem. The trailing arms are the later style. My park brake cables are part # 911-424-551-04 but should be part # 930-424-553-01. Pelican shows them as NLA but Stoddards has them available.
