Porsche Classic Radio SKU: SKUCLASSIC question

Hi everyone, This is the first time I have ever posted! I am seeking info that I can't find anywhere. I have a one of the porsche classic radio upgrades in my 86. I had a local radio shop install it for me; and It is lacking a bit of bass. The first question I have is it even possible from a wiring perspective to add a powered sub without adding an AMP? I would love to put a small powered sub under the passenger seat. Has anyone done this before? If so, I would love to hear about your experience. Also, I do love the radio and how it looks and operates.

I can't speak directly... but you can add a powered subwoofer to just about any radio -

best if the radio has subwoofer output RCA jacks - but even if not, most powered subs will have line level input, so you can pull the signal from your rear speakers...

Consider calling Crutchfield to ask what they recommend but I think the answer is yes you can do this.

Absolutely, just need to dig and find out which sub fits under the seat. Tons of people have done it. Keep us posted!

I've been running this Blaupunkt 10" sub under the passenger seat of my SC. It's not audiophile quality but it was the right size and adds a respectable amount of bass, even with the targa top removed.
