Thumbs up for Systems Consulting

A couple months ago I sold a 3.2 ECU from a good running Carrera in the for sale section. Sold right away. When the buyer received the unit he said it made his car buck like crazy. He put in another used unit and it ran great he said. I refunded his money right away and the buyer sent it back.
So I sent it last week to Loren at Systems Consulting and he received it today. To get a feel of the problem he plugged it into his 88 Carrera. Perfect, no problems. He says he sees this stuff as the buyer decided he didn’t want it after he paid for it probably.
Anyway I thanked him and tried to pay for his time. Nope, no money needed. He just said to remember him next time I need something done. It is nice to know there are still honest people out there in this business.

Loren's a good guy.

50% of what I have bought on Pelican used parts was not a good deal. I haven't had problems with buyers but I refuse to buy non face to face unless it's a verified company with some feedback posted. 50% are of Motor Meister ilk.

Sounds to me like the buyer here just wanted to 'borrow' one for a bit. I dealt with one of those jerk offs just yesterday. And it was face to face. I knew when to walk and walk I did. Guys who wear dark glasses while negotiating are to be avoided. You can't know about that dealing through the net.

Rick,

Is this Lorens company? There seem to be several "Systems Consulting" firms out there.

Thanks Joe A

Yup that is Loren. He once very generously helped me with a 993 ECU problem free of charge. The man knows his stuff.

A number of shops that do DME repairs, CD ignition repairs, etc, actually send their repairs to Systems Consulting. Their work is as good as it gets.
