URO Parts Positive Feedback
Hey all,
I know the URO brand has had some critics here over the years. Some was deserved. We had great luck with with Drew working on their new window seals (windshield and 1/4 window) a couple of years ago. I like to give praise where it is due. Got new parking brake tubes from URO today. Thought I would compare them to the originals on our 69 911 Targa restoration project. Overall length is in the realm of noise in the measurement (accurate). ID and OD at both ends within .2mm (accurate). Normally, we restore all this hardware with proper Cad, not zinc plating, but, alas, we only could find one tube, the other went missing over the year or so since we took this car apart. We will still restore the remaining part and keep. Happy to install this part on a one owner 69. You may have seen in previous threads that Drew (at Uro) is very receptive to feedback and they seem to want to continually evolve and improve any part they have that may not be 100%. Take it for what is is worth from our shop. ![]() ![]() And a couple of the car being restored.... ![]() ![]()

Suppliers that are continuously open to feedback are rare. Nice job URO.

their windshield seal was an absolute life saver! So much frustration with other brands including Porsche OEM.

I really like URO parts in general for my '78SC. If there is a URO option I get it over any other supplier. I have placed a short review below for each of the parts I have purchased. I also have others that I haven't installed yet, like window gaskets, but I'll reserve judgement for those later. This is not a sponsored or paid advertisement
![]() Heavy Duty Strut Mounts. They fit well with good finish. Perform well with no notice of NVH. Spark Plug Wires. They fit well, transmit spark and the price is very good. With all of the reviews of poor OEM and Beru quality these seem like a no brainer. Front Spoiler Brackets. They are good quality and made from stainless. Price is good too. Air Box Relief Valve. Honestly, they are the only ones providing these. I don't know if it is needed in the long run, but I do believe it saved my airbox a few times during the commissioning of my car after sitting for 14 years. Brake Fluid Reservoir Cap. Fits, good quality fit and finish. Brake Master Cylinder. Great price, work just like it should after a few thousand miles. My only hicup on installation was the brake pressure switches not being tightened down from the manufacturer. After tightening them all is well. Right Tail Light Lense, Left Tail Light Lense. Very good color and fit and finish. Honestly look better than OEM Bosch. -Kelly |

As I've noted in a couple other threads, I installed the new design the URO windshield gasket (with the slightly wider lip) in my 1973 over 5 years ago. It was easier to install and covered the edges of the frame better than the OE Porsche one. 5 years later, it has not shrunk or lost its pliancy.

Uro Door Seal (Left or Right)
Part #: 911-531-095-03-M253 Uro door seal was perfect, hastle free, the rubber is pliable enough that the door doesn't need a beating to close. 5 years with the reverse switch in the tranny, windshield spritz pump 5 years, other stuff too, can't remember what...

Glad to see others having good luck with more of their parts, they really do put an effort in.
Cheers

The way they owned their non-conformances and worked hard to improve quality was refreshing. I know that if I buy a URO part and am dissatisfied, they'll stand behind it and make it right.

911 door seals and a bunch of things on my former 924S. Drew always open and responsive to feedback. We need all the choices we can get for quality parts.

Bought the URO taillight lenses: fit great, plastic was pliable, and no cracks or issues over the last 15k miles!

Still here

URO reps engage technically with this forum, that's certainly a major plus.
