Replacing '76 fuel tank 80L or 85L

I'm considering replacing the original OEM 80L fuel tank but can't seem to locate a 80L tank. The only aftermarket tank I'm finding is the Dansk 85L tank.

I've researched some of the P-forum posts and discovered that there is a fit issue with 85L tank. Is that the general consensus?

If anyone has information on the 85L tank swap and fitment, please chime in.

Thanks

Harry

I replaced my fuel tank in my '76 last year for the Dansk 591100-8. Went in with no problems. Comes included with a new filter. Inside of the tank was also very clean. Just flushed it with some fuel.

From PP; 911-201-904-02-M350 was a drop in for my 67. I would recommend coating it with whatever flavor you choose beforehand. Install isn't fun, best with two people. Might as well run new lines while your at it.

Thanks for the information. I ordered the Dansk W0133-2060440 80L tank. I'll let you all know how it went in for future reference.

Thanks
Harry

I just received the Dansk fuel tank from *********.com. I don't think its a 80L tank. On the box is reads as a 85L with part number 1615600200. There is no identifying part number on the tank itself.

Does anyone have experience with this?

It’s the 85L tank. https://www.***************/pn/JP-1615600200

If that link doesn’t work, it’s Autōhaus AZ. Part number is right on the page.

911-201-904-02 is a 62L tank so sure it dropped in your 67. 1615600200 is an 85L tank. Its part number is 930-201-010-02. No way that fits in an early car. That is the one sent to me saying it would fit. I would like a bigger tank but this one is the second 85L tank I bought. And neither one of them fit.
