Stereo Wiring
Looking for suggestions to tidy the stereo wires on my 87 911. I just installed a new stereo and going to zap strap the wires together but wondering where best to strap the wires too to make it as tidy as possible. Any pictures would be appreciated.

Wrapping the whole bundle in something like Tesa wiring harness tape will make it look neat.

Self closing fabric wire wrap, there’s also a Velcro and fabric variant. A lot easier if you can’t get a tape roll to go around that wire bundle. You’ll need to determine diameter needed.
Basic DYI solution is a black sock or material split and with Velcro hot glued to each side to wrap and close as needed. Still use plenty of cable ties to tightly the loom to get it as narrow as possible Example of a self closing wrap. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748793995.jpg |
Thanks. Some great ideas. Much neater than just zip ties.

Here is the stereo/radio wiring diagram for the 1987 911. Not sure what year your car is as the wiring diagrams can be different from year to year.
Let me know if you have any specific questions on any of the wires.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748902763.jpg |
Color codes for wiring on modern aftermarket stereos is standardized, so it’s easy to figure out.
