Scammer on forums using iMessage & Paypal
 

Heads up:

There's a user on here that is being deceptively clever:

Sent a message about a seat I'm looking for and provided photos. Looked good enough. They were asking $1k and I said I'm in the $500 range, and they accepted right away - suspicious but not impossible. Said to text, and it was iMessage - ok, good enough not a green bubble text.

They also asked for my address and quoted a low, but again not impossible shipping price. Sure, easy enough for me I don't have to hassle with UPS labels.

When I went to pay, the screenshot of their Paypal page was rather pixelated, which raised suspicions. Even with fees to protect myself, this wasn't adding up.

The IG username, @twhiteh964 that matches the Paypal screenshot only has 1 post.

And the PelicanParts username Futuerwillimas had nonsensical posts.

So I requested a photo of the seats with my name on it - something that takes all of 2 minutes to do and anyone would do to complete a sale. Started getting defensive and that I'm wasting their time. Bingo.
